by Jordan Benoit
In his first solo novel release, veteren LIT author Jordan Benoit takes us along for another adventure in the world of Legends in Time. With production nearly complete on this project, a release date will be announced soon!
Here are some words from the author about his forthcoming novel:
"When I first began my efforts on the manuscript, I was a little hesitant. When we wrote the first part of the LIT series, there were three of us. Then there were two. And now, for this project, there is just little old me. Vincent and I have collaborated to make something very unique in the fantasy genre, yet both of our individual writing styles differ greatly from one to the other. I wanted this book to stay within that same style we have created together, while at the same time, it gave me a chance to show off my own style. The meshed result is something of which I believe fans of the series will thoroughly enjoy.
ASOTS is the first book in a stand-alone trilogy I am undertaking called The Fall of Lampoi. It takes place far off on another side of the world from where the realms of the main storyline lay. Combining influences of both eastern and western cultures, the continent of Oka'taryn is a vivid and colorful place, while at the same time it is a brutal land of constant warring and scandelous royal families. In the same light as the main LIT series, I focus highly on the lives of peoples who are high up in the echelon of society, while still never forgetting the little people.
The main protagonist in this story is a woman named Ayuna. I wanted to challenge myself. Leading female roles have become increasingly more prominent in fantasy over the years, and I wanted to try my hand at one. Ayuna is a woman in her prime, yet a severe case of amnesia has left her with no recollection of who she is – only that she is well educated in many arts from combat to philosophy. She is training to become the first female stealth agent (an Order called the Ying'wuren) in the vast Empire of Lampoi, who are the covert protectors of the imperial throne.
The first installment in my trilogy sets the undulating stage for a largly catastrophic future for all the peoples who dwell on the continent of Oka'taryn. My anticipation to get this story out to the public increases every day, and I can only pray that readers will hail this work with the same regard as the original series."
Book 3 in the new age epic fantasy series, Legends in Time, is in the final stages of production and a release date will be announced shortly. The highly successful series has drawn rave reviews from major book reviewers and customers alike, and Plight of the Warrior will not disappoint the loyal followers of the series.
Furthering the journey in this Tolkienesque story, Veris and his friends continue to face increasing struggles in an attempt to keep a peaceful life for which they fought so hard; yet the perils of demise and the crumbling of civilizations become a reality for all those living during the tumultuous times that plague the world of Men. Now is the time to jump back in history and join the battle of politics and schemes with heroes and villains in the the next great fantasy tale of our time. Grab your shield and wield your swords, and join the fight with the cast of Legends in Time!

HEP is a big supporter of unsigned authors. We know how hard it is to attain exposure for yourself, and this is where we like to help. Many authors submit short stories to us, and occasionaly we like to showcase their work here on the website. For this month, we have selected The Night is Young by Christopher J. Obudho
